OPLL House Umpires
OPLL House Umpires play an important role in providing a fair, safe, and enjoyable game environment for all players. Umpires are expected to support Orchard Park Little League’s development-focused mission while managing games with professionalism and confidence.
Responsibilities
House umpires are expected to arrive on time and prepared for their assigned games. They should understand and enforce division-specific OPLL and Little League rules, maintain control of the game with clear and consistent calls, and communicate respectfully with coaches, players, and fellow umpires. Umpires are also responsible for promoting sportsmanship, ensuring player safety, keeping games moving at an appropriate pace, and reporting any issues or incidents to league leadership.
You can sign up for games via the StackOfficials App, which will be introduced at one of the mandatory training sessions in April. Starting pay is $22 for first year umpires.
House umpires represent OPLL on the field and are expected to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and respect at all times.
